- Sep. 20, 2007 - Tempe, Ariz.—Ozgur Araz, a Decision Theater research assistant, was part of a team earning the gold in a mathematical modeling competition that could benefit workers in downtown Phoenix, Ariz. Their paper won first place in a contest sponsored through eBourbaki, a mathematical problem-solving firm committed to helping organizations become more efficient and effective in the conduct of business.

Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon launched the Downtown Phoenix Urban Form Project: a collaborative process to comprehensively revise downtown zoning.
